Maps For Bergamo Airport
Bergamo Airport Driving Directions
Bergamo Airport is located in the town of Orio al Serio which is right next to the town of Bergamo. It is around 50 kilometres from Milan and takes around 50 minutes to get to the city centre by car - depending on the traffic conditions.
Bergamo Airport is connected to the A4 Milan-Venice motorway via the Bergamo and Seriate exits. After passing through the toll gate, well-posted signs will get you to the airport.
Brescia and Verona are also easily accessible on this route. For Bergamo you take the junction from the airport to the A-4, but you keep driving straight. When you come to the roundabout take the road on the left (three quarters of the roundabout) to Bergamo.
Bergamo is ideal for a weekend break in Italy. You can see everything you need to see and still have time for long lunches and dinners. It’s also a fine base if you want to explore the lakes – the province’s own Lake Iseo or Lake Como.
Bergamo town can be split into two: the upper hillside town (Bergamo Alta) and the lower town (Bergamo Bassa). The attractive older settlement is at a higher level than the newer developments which are based around the town's railway station.
There are a couple of tourist information offices in Bergamo: one can be found in a block immediately in front of the railway station, and the other is in Via Gombito between the Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe (where the funicular arrives) and Piazza Vecchia.
