Change to train services on the Milan Cadorna-Milano Malpensa Airport route

From Monday 24th October the Milan Cadorna-Milano Malpensa Airport service has seen some variation

  • A new 9304 train service will begin, with the following times:

 

Milano Malpensa Airport
00:26 Busto Arsizio FN 00.34 Saronno 00:44 Milano Nord Bovisa 00:57 Milano Nord Cadorna 01:02

 

The train will replace bus service 304A departing from Milano Malpensa at 00:23 and arriving at Milan Cadorna at 01:13.

  • New stops for bus service 306°, with the following times:

01:30 Busto Arsizio FN 01:51 Saronno 02:20 Milano Nord Bovisa 02:48 Milano Nord Cadorna 03:00

 

On 28, 29, 31 October, 1 and 30 November and 1 December 2011 there will be no 9304 train departing from Milano Malpensa at 00:26. This will be replaced by two buses leaving at 00:26 for Milan Cadorna (direct) and Saronno (stopping at Busto Arsizio).

Air Europa Madrid to Malpensa

Air Europa have launched a new route out of Madrid with its 122-seat E-195 aircraft.

The Spanish SkyTeam carrier has begun serving Milan Malpensa twice-daily, from the Spanish capital.

The airline faces considerable competition on the Milan Malpensa route which will be operated in competition with Iberia’s 26 flights a week and easyJet’s 19 weekly services.

Stockholm to Milan Malpensa

Scandinavian Airlines launched three intra-European routes in the last week, one from Oslo and two from Stockholm Arlanda.

From Stockholm, the airline launched 4 weekly flights to Gdansk on the Polish Baltic Sea coast and 5 weekly flights to Milan Malpensa in northern Italy. The Italian route was operated by Lufthansa Italia until the closure of the base at the end of the summer season.

Milan Bergamo to Marseille

Ryanair has launched a relatively modest 12 new routes this week. Of the 24 airports involved (spread across 11 countries), the leading country markets are Italy (seven), followed by Poland and the Netherlands with three each.

The average weekly frequency of these 12 new routes is 4.3 helped by the airline launching a rare double-daily service between Rome Ciampino and Genoa and 10 flights per week between Milan Bergamo and Marseille

Bari to Milan Linate Airport

Meridianafly, the Italian airline set to merge with Air Italy, launched a new domestic route on 30th October.

The airline now flies 12 times weekly from Bari (BRI) in the south to Milan Linate (LIN), the city airport serving Italy’s northern financial capital, with A320 aircraft.

Competition comes from Alitalia’s subsidiary Air One, which operates daily, as well as mainline Alitalia’s 5 weekly flights. Partner Air Italy operates an additional 6 flights a week.
